PhD position

If you wish to do a PhD with me, you should apply for the Computational Biology PhD program at IMSc, Chennai. Minimum eligibility requirements for admission to the PhD program are : (a) B.Tech or M.Sc in Science or Engineering subjects, and (b) Qualification of a National level examination such as CSIR-UGC JRF or GATE. For additional details, see PhD program page.

Deadline for applying to the PhD program is usually April 30 every year.

Postdoctoral position

If you wish to carry out Postdoctoral research with me, you should apply for a Postdoctoral position in the Computational Biology group at IMSc. We are also able to host individuals having their own fellowship, including the ANRF National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF). Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact us for support and help with application process ahead of deadline.

Project Assistant positions

We are able to hire students interested in gaining research experience as Project Assistants in externally funded projects. Minimum eligibility for such positions is B.Tech. or M.Sc. or M.Tech. degree in computational biology or related disciplines. Preference will be given to candidates who can commit for at least 2 years with excellent communication skills and have qualified a National level examination such as CSIR-UGC JRF or GATE. Knowledge of computer programming such as C, C++ or Python is essential. Open positions for Project Assistants are advertised in the IMSc Careers page.

Masters & Bachelors Thesis students

We usually host 1-2 students for their Masters or Bachelors Thesis projects each year. In case you are interested, we encourage you to contact one of the group members at least 3 months before the start date with a copy of your CV and address of 1-2 referees. Knowledge of programming in languages such as C, C++ or Python is essential. Outstation applicants will only be considered if they can commit at least 6 months for their project work. Outstation students will also have to arrange their accommodation on their own.
